It Could Happen to You Three out of four women will have a crime committed against them in their lifetime. You Are Alone The police won';t help: There are no arrests in approximately 53 percent--more than half--of all violent crimes. The courts won't help: With half of all convicted rapist spending less than one year in jail, a potential rapist could be walking the streets near your home right now.
